Facts and Figures
Diakonissenkrankenhaus Dresden is a Protestant hospital founded in 1844 and located in the Neustadt district. Renowned for its high standards of medical care, the clinic has once again been included in the ranking of Germany’s best hospitals. In a large-scale study conducted by Newsweek in cooperation with Statista, the hospital was recognized as one of the top medical institutions in the country.
According to data from the Federal Statistical Office, there were 1,893 hospitals in Germany in 2023. Among Dresden’s leading hospitals, Diakonissenkrankenhaus ranks fourth, following the University Hospital Dresden, Friedrichstadt Municipal Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Hospital.
