The Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg is a leading oncology center in the region and one of the largest in Germany.

The center holds 26 multidisciplinary tumor board meetings each week. These meetings bring together experts from oncology, surgery, radiology, pathology, radiation therapy, and other specialties as required.

During these conferences, individualized treatment plans are developed for each patient. Tumor boards are convened at initial diagnosis, before and after surgery, and in cases of disease progression or recurrence. In 2022 alone, more than 15,000 cases were reviewed.

The Center for Chronic Immunodeficiency (CCI) specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of immune system disorders across all age groups.

Interdisciplinary collaboration between infectious disease specialists and immunologists enables treatment of conditions such as:

The Emergency and Acute Care Center is the central medical unit of Freiburg University Medical Center, specializing in clinical emergency medicine, research, education, and professional training in emergency care.
